nensa19

As we close in on our 19th season, NENSA is endeavoring to raise $19,000 to close out the year, and close the gap in our budget as we strive to maintain our programming. Your contribution will directly impact NENSA's mission to sustain a vital and active nordic skiing community in New England.

Success in raising $19,000 in these final 19 days of December, will look like this:
   $4,500 - Skis for Kids
    $5,000 - Athlete Fund
$4,500 - Bill Koch League (Youth Skiing Community)
   $3,500 - Technical Delegate Training & Support
+ $1,500 - Adaptive Skiing at Bill Koch Festival

   $19,000

Skis for Kids: Provides access to affordable equipment for 300 families across New England through this season-long leasing program. This additional funding will purchase new equipment to replace gear that has seen several seasons of adventure.
Athlete Fund: Provides financial support for New England athletes who have qualified to compete in high level events like USSA Junior National Championships or FIS U23 World Championships, or who have been invited to U.S. Ski Team development camps. A portion of this fund also assists local athletes seeking support to compete in New England championship events like NENSA's U16 or Eastern High School Championships.
Bill Koch League: With a focus on fun, NENSA champions a healthy lifestyle for over 1,500 kids across New England through direct programming and in empowering local clubs with the resources to show kids how to have a good time on skis. These programs, and our inclusive approach have garnered awards from the United States Ski & Snowboard Association, and a United States Olympic Committee Rings of Gold nomination.
Technical Delegate Training & Support: Technical Delegates (TDs) are trained officials who ensure safe and fair competition at cross country skiing events. NENSA supports TDs at all of our major events, including the Bill Koch League Festival. This additional funding will ensure NENSA continues to offer our annual TD training seminar free-of-charge to our regoinal Technical Delegates.
Adaptive Skiing at the Bill Koch Festival: Additional funding will allow NENSA to deliver our adaptive equipment and programming beyond the scope of our current Veterans Association grant-funded service member focus, increasing access and opportunity for kids and non-military families seeking new winter recreation.

Thank You and Think Snow!
